The
Dead Awaken
The executives are
protesting
Against those who do
not want war.
Their picket signs
have dollar signs
They will be heard.
The rich want even more
They too will be heard.
The homeless man wants
to eat
He will not be heard.
The soldiers die
They will not be
heard.
The women and children
die
They will not be
heard.
The Chief Executive
orders us
To spend more
He assures us the war
Is good for America.
The executives all
cheer
And the dead awaken.
